Street To School

“Street To School” is a transformative initiative launched by Human Development & Peace Organization (HDPO) aimed at providing education, skill development, and holistic support to street children and child laborers across Pakistan. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between education and underprivileged children who are unable to attend school due to poverty, financial burdens, lack of access, or social challenges.

Through non-formal education centers, mobile schools, vocational training, and financial support, Street To School will help children transition from streets and workplaces into classrooms, empowering them with knowledge and skills to build a better future.

Objectives & Goals:

  • Providing Free & Accessible Education– Offering basic, primary, and secondary education to street and working children.
  • Non-Formal Education & Accelerated Learning– Implementing flexible learning programs for children who missed years of schooling.
  • Mobile Schools & Evening Classes– Reaching out to children at their workplaces or street hubs with education-on-wheels
  • Vocational & Life Skills Training– Teaching technical skills to equip children for a better livelihood.
  • Psycho-Social & Emotional Support– Addressing mental well-being, social reintegration, and self-confidence building.
  • Community Engagement & Parental Awareness– Encouraging families to prioritize education over child labor.
  • Scholarships & Financial Assistance– Supporting deserving children with school fees, uniforms, books, and meals.
  • School-to-Work Transition Program– Helping youth with job placements, apprenticeships, and micro-entrepreneurship.
