Climate and Sustainable Revival Mission (CSRM)

Pakistan stands among the top 10 countries most vulnerable to climate change, experiencing intensified floods, heatwaves, droughts, and biodiversity loss. Environmental degradation, poor resource management, and unsustainable practices have jeopardized both ecological balance and community resilience. Recognizing this urgent crisis, the Human Development & Peace Organization (HDPO) is launching the Climate and Sustainable Revival Mission (CSRM) — a comprehensive national initiative aimed at revitalizing ecosystems, empowering climate-resilient communities, and embedding sustainability across policies, education, and development models.

Core Objectives:

  • Restore critical ecosystems and natural resources (forests, water, soil, biodiversity)
  • Strengthen community-based climate resilience and disaster preparedness
  • Promote sustainable livelihoods through green jobs and eco-enterprises
  • Advocate for inclusive climate policies and environmental governance
  • Mobilize youth, women, and civil society as climate leaders
  • Promote renewable energy and climate-smart technologies
  • Enhance public awareness and environmental education
  • Establish local and national alliances for climate justice and sustainability
